Now, almost two years after the launch of the model, the automaker has developed a facelift version of the S-Cross. Suzuki presented the S-Cross facelifted in front of a selected audience in Hungary. As we had a glimpse of the car, it seems absolutely average compared to the outgoing model. Any SUV enthusiast wants his car to be sturdy. And the new 2018 Maruti S-Cross looks exactly like it. He can impress with his aggressive style.
The updated SX4 S-Cross gets a completely new front fascia. The front profile now features a grille that has been finished in chrome, this grille helps in providing some superior feel to the car. In addition to the new grille, the Crossover has also received new floodlight projectors that look much more aggressive and shapier than those of the pre-facelift variant. The new headlamp units also benefit from integrated LED daytime running lights. The front profile also gets a new grille that looks sportier, the bumper now houses larger round fog lights and also chrome highlights around it.
Towards the side profile the Crossover gets slightly different alloy wheels, the rear profile on the other hand gets a redesigned tail lights. If you compare the old Crossover with this facelift variant, then the facelift car looks more aggressive and useful than the old car. The aggressive front profile now looks more SUV’ish that will attract more attention.
If we look inside, then you will realize that the new S-Cross interior looks almost like the pre-facelift variant. The only change will however be in the form of a new instrument cluster and an updated dashboard. Maruti could also include new features inside that were missing in the previous car. The new touch-screen infotainment system will definitely get Android Auto and the Apple car game system.
The outgoing S-Cross had 2 diesel engine options in 1.3L DDiS and 1.6L DDiS. The 2018 Maruti S-Cross will only be delivered with the proven and proven 1.3 DDiS diesel engine (89hp and 200nm torque) with the intelligent hybrid system. Suzuki has something called the Smart Vehicle Hybrid System (SVHS) that works intelligently in engine idle starting and regeneration of braking energy, when the brakes are applied with the integrated starter motor that has a function acceleration torque assist. Not to mention the increase in energy efficiency of about 2kmpl due to this SVHS feature. The 5-speed manual gear lever is proven as always.
