For starters, the new 2019 Audi S6 is still slightly larger, and we mean slightly. It is 0.5 inches wider, 0.3 inches larger, and one-tenth of an inch larger. More pronounced is the new front fascia and Silgleframe grille that closely resembles the A7, and although the sedan’s profile looks unchanged at a glance, contours of the body line on the wheels near the line of belt. The changes are much easier to spot in the back, with a freshly rebuilt deck cover and a rear fascia, accentuated by a chrome band bisecting the taillights and running the full width of the car. The new A6 can be used in 14 different colors, seven being entirely new for 2019.
Climb inside and the similarities with the A8 range are even clearer. The 2019 Audi S6 gets an identical sweeping dashboard design with neat concealed air vents and acres of shiny black piano plastics alongside the same futuristic infotainment system as its bigger brother.
2019 Audi S6 Inside Features
Speaking of infotainment systems, the improved MMI Plus system comes with even more goodies than the 5 Series and lets the E-Class eat its high-tech dust. The standard eight-inch touchscreen of the new 2019 Audi S6 in the dashboard is replaced by a larger 10.1-inch screen next to a second 8.6-inch unit for only heating and cooling functions . These come with neat feedback features that will produce a physical click sensation to let you know that you’ve pressed the right virtual button, just like an iPhone home button. Unfortunately, if it’s something like in the A8, you’ll have to press hard enough, which can make it hard to use on the go. You also benefit from Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, a beautiful 12.3-inch digital display that replaces conventional analog dials that can display high-definition Google maps right in your line of sight.
The 2019 Audi S6 is not significantly longer than the old model but its interior is more spacious. There is more room for the head, legs and shoulders on both the front and rear seats, so you will have no problem carrying four great friends with you. Boot space is not more generous than in the older A6, however. As a result, its capacity of 530 liters is on par with the 5 Series but 10 liters less than in the E-Class.

2019 Audi S6 Engines
While Europe will see a plethora of diesel offerings, the US will have a choice between two gasoline engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line four-cylinder producing about 250 horsepower and a turbocharged V6 of 3.0 liters for 340 horses. The latter is associated with the Audi S tronic seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which also serves as the only four-cylinder proposed for launch in Europe, a turbo-diesel. Audi can use a conventional eight-speed automatic with the 2.0-liter four petrol, as it does today. An 2019 Audi S6 with a stronger V-6 biturbo will follow later. All A6 models will have electrically assisted powertrains; they can recover kinetic energy during braking and are equipped with an ultra-quiet belt starter / generator to facilitate stop / start technology.
Like most new-generation vehicles, the upcoming S6 should be a bit more expensive than the outgoing model. With 2019 Audi S6 base prices likely to increase from $ 47,600 to almost $ 50,000, the S6 should be around $ 72,000 or $ 73,000 before the options. The current sedan starts at $ 70,900 in the United States.
