2019 Cadillac CT6 Exterior

The mid-life facelift of the Cadillac CT6 sedan is progressing well, and we can now give you a better overview of the new grille. Some say it looks like a Genesis, but it is inspired by Cadillac’s most popular recent concept.

The grille and lower bumper skirt at the front correspond to the design of the Escala concept. The concept’s floating pinhead design for the grille is also clearly visible through the camouflage equipment. Another key change borrowed from Escala will be thinner, more horizontal lights. On the prototype, it looks like the lights, while the still dummy units, almost meet with the grille. This is in contrast to the more vertical units on the current 2019 Cadillac CT6. The taillights must also be adjusted to reflect the design of the Escala.

We do not expect such significant changes in the cabin, although it is likely that we will see new electronic driving aids. The Cadillac Super Cruise Autopilot is already available since 2018. The system is capable of driving alone on a limited access road and has been very useful in our recent test. The more user-friendly version of Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system should also be included.

The overall profile remains virtually unchanged, and at the rear, the same dual exhaust configuration found on the current model can be seen. Although the next-generation CT6 powertrain type is unclear, the current model comes with a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid option, a 3.6-liter base V6 or a 3-biturbo, 0 liters developing 404 horses (301 kilowatts)). Rumor has it that the new CT6 can see everything from extra biturbo to the 6.2-liter Corvette V8.

All details on the updated 2019 Cadillac CT6, including price, performance and availability, will be deployed closer to the sedan’s tentative release date. Rumor has it that the CT6 will debut at the Detroit Auto Show next year.
