2019 Ford Super Duty – Since its introduction in 1999, the Ford Super Duty truck series has been the most powerful offering at the top of the Blue Ovale truck lineup. Distinguished by a single body compared to the standard F-150 and combined with a robust chassis and suspension components, it increased payload and towing capacity. Even though a brand new example was introduced in 2016 for the 2017 model year, Ford is already trading an updated version.
The photographers captured Ford by testing a future version of its 2019 Ford Super Duty F-450 , the largest and most expensive truck in the lineup. Despite its heavy camouflage, the F-450 test truck seems to suggest a redesigned front fascia, as well as new headlamps and taillights for the next-generation Super Duty pickups.
Ford has released a redesign of its F-150 pickup earlier this year, with a new grille designed to emulate the current Super Duty model. The new Super Duty is on deck. Expect the fresh updates to be reflected in the Super Duty lineup, which includes the F-250, F-350 and F-450.
A new V8 is expected to join the lineup, as well as a new 10-speed automatic transferred from the Raptor in place of the current six-speed TorqShift. The current 6.2-liter V8 produces 385 horsepower (287 kilowatts) and 405 lb-ft (549 Newton-meters) of torque, while the 6.7-liter diesel option delivers 440 hp (328 kW) and 925 lb. -pi (1.254 Nm).
The details on the update are still far behind so far, but we expect all trim levels to be preserved, ranging from XL to Platinum as the prototype shown here. As for prices, expect a modest increase over the current MSRP, which starts at $ 32,535 for the F-250 XL.
