The Renault crossover, the Captur is one of the best-selling cars in the range of brands and over a million units have been produced. Captur looks attractive and has smart interior design. Renault also offers attractive customization options for its Clio-based crossover. THowever, the latest reports suggest that Captur will move to the second generation by the end of the decade. The redesigned model is expected to arrive in 2019 after the arrival of the new Clio, probably under the name of 2019 Renault Captur.
Engine of 2019 Renault Captur
In the powertrain department, we do not expect Renault to change too much. The 1.5-liter diesel has been around for centuries, and that’s the one we recommend this car. Apparently, the 0.9-liter turbo TCe has proved controversial because of its lag and fuel consumption, but we would be surprised if it does not stay there.
New Renault Captur Exterior
The current Captur shares the platform with the Clio and that will not change for the next generation version. However, the new Clio generation will debut earlier and debut on the new platform. The new architecture will be the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform and the 2019 Renault Captur should be the second model to exploit this design. In terms of style, the new generation Captur should present a sharper style with some clues inspired by the Concept Symbioz. The model will have new headlights combined with the water drop design of the daytime running lights. The new Captur will also have the skinny grille with the brand logo and sharp creases on the hood. The profile will get more raked roofline while the rear will come with restyled taillights and rear bumper.
Renault Captur Interior 2019
The interior of the new Captur should also introduce significant changes in terms of aesthetics, technology and materials. We do not know if Renault will develop the interior and the loading capacity. What is certain is that the new crossover will receive the new generation infotainment system of the new Clio. Renault could also offer the fully digitized instrument cluster option. The new Captur will also be safer thanks to the improved safety equipment. The possibility is also the level 2 autonomous technology that controls the steering and acceleration instead of the driver.
Renault Captur 2019 Release Date
The 2019 Renault Captur will follow after the debut of the new generation Clio. The new Clio is expected to debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show while Captur will follow in 2019. We expect a modest price increase.
